About Riposte.to

The honest comment layer for the internet.

What is Riposte.to?

Riposte.to is an independent comment platform. It gives anyone a place to react to, debate, and roast any publicly available internet content — without worrying whether their comment will get deleted for being too blunt.

The way it works is simple: you find a piece of content anywhere on the internet — a YouTube video, a news article, a Reddit post — paste the URL into Riposte.to, and a Riposte Page is instantly created. That page becomes a dedicated comment thread for that exact piece of content, completely separate from the original platform.

The original creator never sees your comment unless they specifically come here looking for it. You get your say. They get to keep their platform sanitized. Everyone gets what they want.

Our Mission

The internet has two kinds of comment sections: the heavily moderated ones that delete anything remotely controversial, and the completely unmoderated ones that devolve into abuse. We think there's a better option.

Riposte.to is built on the idea that honest, unfiltered commentary — even when it's harsh, critical, or irreverent — has genuine value. At the same time, we believe that targeted threats, dehumanizing slurs, and coordinated harassment are not commentary; they're abuse.

Our moderation draws that line using AI-based contextual analysis, not arbitrary keyword lists. The goal is a platform where you can say what you genuinely think without your comment disappearing because it wasn't sufficiently polite — but where the kind of content that makes people afraid to be online simply doesn't survive.

Riposte.to succeeds if it becomes the place for real conversations about content. It fails if it becomes just another outlet for saying things that would get you removed everywhere else.
