How to Use Riposte.to

Say what you actually think. Riposte.to is the comment section for the entire internet — for every article, video, and story that disabled comments or deleted yours.

1. Roast any page in one click

Add the Riposte It button to your browser's bookmark bar. Then, whenever you're reading something you want to comment on, just click it. We'll open the Riposte Page — or create one on the spot.

Drag this button to your bookmark bar:

Chrome / Edge: Show the bookmark bar with Ctrl+Shift+B / ⌘+Shift+B, then drag the button above.

Firefox: View → Toolbars → Bookmarks Toolbar, then drag.

Safari: View → Show Favorites Bar, then drag.

2. Share any article directly

You can create a Riposte Page for any article or video by pasting its URL into the bar on our homepage, or by using this pattern directly:

https://riposte.to/roast?url=https://example.com/the-article

If a Riposte Page already exists for that URL, you'll land there instantly. If not, we'll create one in seconds. You can share this link anywhere — Twitter, Reddit, group chats — and whoever clicks it will land straight on the comment section.

3. Share individual Riposte Pages and comments

Every Riposte Page has sharing buttons at the top — one click to post it to X, Reddit, Facebook, or WhatsApp, or to copy the link.

Every comment also has its own shareable link. Click Link under any comment to copy a URL that scrolls directly to that comment when opened. Use it to call out a specific take, screenshot it, or just flex your own comment.

Quick answers

Do I need an account to create a Riposte Page?: No. Anyone can trigger page creation via the bookmarklet or shareable URL — no login needed. You do need an account to leave a comment.
What can I roast?: News articles, YouTube videos, social media posts, blog posts — basically anything with a public URL. Some content types are blocked (adult content, private individuals, etc.).
What if the page already exists?: You get sent straight there. We never create two comment sections for the same article — all the conversation stays in one place.
Does Riposte.to host the article?: No. We link to the original content and show its title and summary. We are purely a comment layer — we don't reproduce or host any third-party content.
